Bike Forum- City of ATL and ABC

Hey everybody, the new City of ATL transportation plan is awesome for cyclists, it takes emphasis off moving cars and focuses more on moving people- getting the city back to a human scale where people will want to walk, bike, take transit, and makes it a nicer place to be. There are good people working on this and it's at the stage where they're putting the recommendations from the public into the plan, then it will be approved by city council. See www.connectatlantaplan.com, and the documents page for the bike map. Atlanta Bicycle Campaign is hosting this opportunity for the public to meet with planners, city officials, etc. to review the plan and make suggestions/recommendations. Hope some of you can make it.

The city of Atlanta has been gathering data, input, and feedback from the public for almost six months now, and the proposed Bicycle Network is looking good!

Come out to hear what's going on with bicycles in the city's first-ever comprehensive transportation plan: we want to know what you think.

The proposed Bicycle Network Map is still in draft form, so there's still time to have an impact.
